Shopping

According to a survey, Rome is the most affordable city in Europe. Although frankly speaking, I don't know how.
The stores are generally closed in the early afternoon (approx. 1:00pm - 4:00pm) and are open until approx. 8:00pm. However, there is an increase in large shopping areas which are open all day long (9:00am - 8:00pm). The big stores which are open 24 hours a day like in America or England, are hard to find in Rome.
There are several areas in Rome that offer streets full of stores, but it is not always easy to shop due to the crowds (especially on Saturdays). If you have the will power not to buy in the first store, you can probably find a better deal in the next store. In addition, beware of under priced merchandise, it's usually not good quality or a forgery.
