Place: Piazza di Spagna (The Spanish Steps)

The Piazza de Spagna was built in the 17th century to house the Spanish Embassy. The Spanish Steps were built in the 1720's to link the square with the French church of Trinit'a Dei Monti. Tourists and Romans alike, use the steps for a gathering place to mingle and relax.
