Being close to the shoreline makes the winter climate generally mild with average temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees. It's very rare for the temperature to go below 0 degrees. When this does happen, it's only for a short time. It is mostly sunny, with small amounts of rainfall.
In the summer it is hot and very humid, with temperatures that can rise up to 100 degrees. Although there are days when a light breeze makes the heat more bearable. Air conditioning is definitely a must.
In conclusion it is better to visit the city during the spring (from April 15 to June 15) and in the autumn (September to October).
